Advice For a Lockdown

This morning, probably to distract myself from my morning exercise, I picked out a book from the bookshelf -The Denial of Death by Ernest Becker

I’d read this book a few years ago and I noticed I had written something on the title page. It read:

“Relaxation is the ground from which new possibilities can open up, new awareness or perspectives can be discovered, a wider consciousness can point to new ways of thinking and acting, so that you can accept or live through or solve or survive the existential dread you currently live through.”

I don’t know if this is a quote from the book, or my extrapolation from it, but it’s certainly true. And now I can go back to my exercise to keep that relaxation going.

Remember that the universe is expanding, and we are little universes whose minds are also expanding if we let them.
